Workers Remain Nervous About Their Jobs
According to Decision Analyst's Job Anxiety Index
Arlington, Texas (June 1, 2005) - Decision Analyst's Job Anxiety Index has
steadily increased over the past six years. The Index has steadily risen from a
low of 7.1 in January of 2000 to a reading of 19.6 in May of 2005. The Index
rose rapidly from its low point in 2000 until it peaked in 2003, and it has
remained stubbornly high since 2003.

The Index reflects the percentage of unemployed and under-employed workers,
plus those who are "very worried" about losing their job.
"While the Index has inched downward slightly over the past year, many workers
remain worried about their job," said Jerry W. Thomas, President and CEO of
Decision Analyst, a marketing research and marketing consulting firm. "It's
apparent that the economy has not created enough new jobs since 2000 to fully
employ the U.S. workforce."

Methodology
The Decision Analyst Job Anxiety Index is based on a monthly Internet survey of
several thousand households balanced by gender, age, and geography, conducted
from the 20th to the 27th of each month. The Job Anxiety Index is immediately
calculated from unemployment, part-time employment, and job security, using a
sophisticated model. The result is a snapshot of current U.S.
employment/anxiety, as seen through the eyes of representative consumers.
Decision Analyst also conducts concurrent surveys in Canada, the U.K., Germany,
France, Italy, Netherlands, Mexico, and Australia.
