Global Marketing Research
The Global Research Group designs and executes marketing research and consulting
assignments in Canada, Europe, Latin America, Australia, the Middle East, and
Asia. The group conducts market structure analyses, pricing analyses, advertising
tests, promotion tests, segmentation studies, strategy analyses, customer satisfaction
tracking, and new product research, as well as depth interviews and focus groups
in person and via the Internet. International projects are conducted through
our worldwide partners and subcontractors, as well as over the Internet using
our global American Consumer Opinion® Online panel.
Global Research Team
Our researchers speak and support 10 major languages. Our international employees come from Europe, Latin America, and Asia.
Global Data Collection Platforms
Depending on the target audience and the country, Decision Analyst recommends the most appropriate data collection method. For example, in Canada and the Scandinavian
countries, the Internet is a sound data collection method because of high Internet penetration. In most of Latin America, however, face-to-face interviewing is typically
the preferred method for most consumer-goods studies, while the Internet would be restricted to surveys targeted to an upscale, technology-savvy audience.
Global Internet Panels
We can conduct high-quality marketing research over the Internet in the U.S.,
Canada, Europe, Latin America, Australia, and Asia. This research is executed
via our American Consumer Opinion® Online panel, one of the largest Internet
panels in the world, with over 8 million consumers in over 150 different nations.
This global consumer panel is recruited through a variety of methods to maximize
its diversity and representativeness. Members are recruited in their native
language to minimize sampling bias. We currently program surveys in English,
Japanese, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, French, German, Dutch, Italian,
Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, and Finnish. Through
Icion®, our proprietary multivariate sampling software, we can match samples
to any target demographic profile. Respondent participation is monitored and
limited to prevent respondent conditioning.
In addition to American Consumer Opinion® Online, Decision Analyst owns these global panels:
- Technology Advisory Board® is a worldwide Internet panel of engineers, scientists, and IS and IT professionals.
- Physicians Advisory Council® is an online panel of physicians and surgeons in the U.S., Canada, and Western Europe,
including both general practitioners and specialists.
- Executive Advisory Board® is a global panel of senior officers of major corporations, including members of boards of directors,
chairmen, presidents, managing directors, and other high-level executives.
- Contractor Advisory Board® is a U.S. and Canadian panel of building contractors and subcontractors, spanning both residential
and commercial construction.
- Imaginators® is a worldwide panel of creative
individuals that serves as the foundation for our new product ideation and
brainstorming services.
Global Partners
We have research partners in all major countries and the information technology,
analytical tools, and systems to address marketing issues on a global scale.
Our worldwide network of research partners and subcontractors ensures that all
research we conduct is sensitized to the environment and culture of the target
country. Our research partners follow rigorous quality-control procedures and
contribute their expertise of the local culture, language, and business environment.
We provide the overall study design and project management, and add depth and
insight to the interpretation of the results. Through the synergy of these relationships,
we can successfully execute the most complicated of global studies and achieve
consistency of execution across different countries.
Decision Analyst has developed a high-quality network of translators who live and work in the respective countries. As language can change rapidly at times, we
feel it is imperative to have someone native to the target country who is knowledgeable about the latest nuances of language and culture. Our research partners and
subcontractors in the respective countries also serve as advisors and consultants to ensure that the final questionnaires are as accurate as possible.
